Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\)ASA Grade 1/2
  • 2\)Proven complex unilateral hand injuries such as
  • flexor tendon cut injury
  • crushed hand injuries
  • \>2 metacarpel bone fractures

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\)Requiring surgical management within half an hour of hospital admission
  • 2\)Sensory deficits in the arm
  • 3\)Coagulopathy/ Vascular injuries of forearm
  • 4\)Haemodynamically unstable patients/requiring urgent care
  • 5\)Concomitant head injuries/ polytrauma patients
  • 6\)Patients with extensor tendon injuries/single
  • metacarpel fracture/phalangeal fractures,
  • bilateral hand injuries
  • 7\)Clinical features suggestive of compartment syndrome of forearm
