Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\)ASA Grade 1/2
- •2\)Proven complex unilateral hand injuries such as
- •flexor tendon cut injury
- •crushed hand injuries
- •\>2 metacarpel bone fractures
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Requiring surgical management within half an hour of hospital admission
- •2\)Sensory deficits in the arm
- •3\)Coagulopathy/ Vascular injuries of forearm
- •4\)Haemodynamically unstable patients/requiring urgent care
- •5\)Concomitant head injuries/ polytrauma patients
- •6\)Patients with extensor tendon injuries/single
- •metacarpel fracture/phalangeal fractures,
- •bilateral hand injuries
- •7\)Clinical features suggestive of compartment syndrome of forearm
