Inclusion Criteria

1.ASA grades I or II

2.Either gender

3.Adult patients aged > 18 years and < 60 years

4.Scheduled for laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients not willing to give consent

2.Patients allergic to clonidine

3.Patient with concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants or opioids

4.Pregnant females

5.Patients who are chronic hypotensive.
