Inclusion Criteria

Age 18 to 65. Complete diagnostic criteria for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by the DSM-IV. Identified by applying the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Axis I Disorders. Meets the criteria of gravity and refractory to traditional treatments for PTSD, formulated on the basis of two studies that have shown efficacy and safety of therapeutic modality for PTSD (Helsley et al., 1999;. Margoob et al, 2010) or present clinical indication for ECT because of comorbidities. Provide skin conductance response and. To be able to understand and nod with the free and informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

Have made abusive or recreational use of substances (except nicotine) less than 72 hours in the experimental days. Present relative contraindications to the use of ECT.
