简要总结

Kabaddi is a team sport that involves two groups of seven players competing on a rectangular field.  The game emphasizes quick bursts of energy and tactical movement, challenging both physical endurance and mental alertness mainly involving explosive power and agility . Players must develop both offensive and defensive skills, particularly raiders who rely heavily on leg explosive power to perform successful raids. The performance of leg thrusts, sudden directional shifts, and quick touches requires more muscle  coordination, explosive power and agility.

•        There are many studies which are focusing on kabaddi specific techniques like athletic performance, flexibility of hamstrings, breath holding capacity, general fitness or skill-based training but there are limited literatures which analyze how plyometric and agility training impacts on explosive leg power which is the key action to improve offensive and defensive strategies and to improve the game.

•        Additionally, studies often focus on either plyometric or agility training in isolation, rather than evaluating their combined effect.

•        The findings of this research can provide valuable information for coaches and trainers to design and implement targeted training program that specifically target explosive leg power, ultimately leading to improved player performance.

结局指标

主要结局

Standing broad jump test :

时间窗: Baseline testing before starting exercise program and at the end of trial after 8 weeks

The test was performed on a hard surface, and participants were required to jump as far as possible following standardized procedures. Participants started from a standing position, with both feet touching a starting line, and were allowed to swing their arms before the jump. Both the take-off and landing phases of the jump had to be done with both feet. The distance between take-off and the heel of the closest foot at landing was recorded in centimeters

时间窗: Baseline testing before starting exercise program and at the end of trial after 8 weeks

次要结局

  • Agility T test :(Agility t-test area was used with a scale of 10 meters by 10 meters. Participants ran forward or moved when the “go” order as quickly as possible to the central cone. Then, they ran sideway 5 m to the right cone & ran sideway 10 m away to the far-left cone to the left & ran sideway back to the middle on the right cone. The individual either ran or moved backward as soon as possible to reach the finish line. The researcher began the stopwatch & stopped when the participant crossed the finishing line plane. The time to complete each test is measured in seconds.)
