Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •patients will be included in the study if their age ¿18, mechanical ventilation for more than 48 h, newly appeared/evolving CXR infiltrate, and two or more of the following clinical criteria: temperature ¿ 38\.5 ¿C or hypothermia (\< 36\.5¿ ), leukocytosis \> 104/mL, or leukopenia \< 4\.103/mL; purulent tracheal secretions; and PaO2/FIO2 \< 300 mm Hg.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Exclusion criteria comprised patients with ongoing pneumonia or if their age ¿ 18\.
