Inclusion Criteria

90 aged patients
listed for cataract surgery
with an expected duration of less than 60 min

Exclusion Criteria

patients younger than 21 years
, patients refusing local anesthesia
, those with single eye
, ocular infection
, and when the decubitus position was difficult
. Patients with communication problems
, impaired consciousness
, coagulopathy
, and mental retardation, were also disqualified from the study.
