简要总结

AIM: To find the effects of plyometric training on technical skills among Roll ball players.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To study the effect of plyometric training on agility of Roll ball players.
  2. To study the effect of plyometric training on coordination of Roll ball players.
  3. To study the effect of plyometric training on shooting accuracy of Roll ball players.
  4. To study the effect of plyometric training on speed dribbling of Roll ball players.
  5. To study the effect of plyometric training on passing accuracy of Roll ball players.

NEED OF THE STUDY:

Success in team ball sports is frequently linked to a special blend of talented and skilled physical, technical, tactical, and psychological attributes. Assessing these multiple characteristics may help professionals better understand the demands of a particular game or activity, identification of potential performance (i.e., skill) and areas for further player development. Additionally, an analysis of these performance metrics is expected to help determine the efficacy of training and rehabilitation programs during various stages of the sporting season (such as preseason, competition, and transition).Roll ball players are being chosen based on their skills according to the rules of the game. There are many existing researches about effect of plyometric training on various sports. However, no research investigation has been conducted on technical skills in Roll ball players, leaving the area of these specific skills unclear and in need of further research. To assess the significance for success in Roll ball, the effect needs to be studied. 1st Roll Ball World Cup was held in 2011 at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune – India. In which 16 countries from 3 continents participated. Recently, 6th Roll Ball World Cup was held in 2023 where 40 countries from 5 continents participated. Roll ball has reached a total of 60 countries as of 2023. Though Roll Ball is century’s fastest growing sport, it is not much popular all over since it is not yet included in the Olympics. As a result, there are very limited researches on Roll ball. The growth of Roll ball and the sport itself will be aided by research on enhancing technical skills. Since this sport is made in India, research on skills will help develop the player’s performance and influence the popularity by quality data. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of plyometric training on technical skills in Roll ball players.

HYPOTHESIS
