Inclusion Criteria

Hospitalized patients 18 to 60 years
Candidate for surgery under 1 hour
Candidate for intubation in the supine position

Exclusion Criteria

Use of anti-inflammatory drugs for two weeks before surgery
History of upper airway infection and sore throat
Prolonged operation more than an hour
The patient is psychopathic
Diabetic patients
Drug allergy
Difficult Intubation

Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Severity of sore throat based on visual analogue scale system. Timepoint: measurement of sore throat at the begining of the study and 2, 6 and 24 hours after taking the drug. Method of measurement: questionnaire visual analogue scale.
