Diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder (for patients) and relatively stable symptoms (no acute psychosis),
Aged between 18 and 60 years,
Capacity to give informed consent
No capacity to give informed consent,
Risk of suicide necessitating hospitalisation,
Physical illnesses that interfere with the planned measurements,
Medical contraindication against fMRI measurements,
Pregnancy,
Contraception per loop,
Diagnosis of psychological diseases, especially schizophrenia (for control group)

Name Time Method neural data in comparison of groups and pre post fMRI measurement (before and after the training) of the applied tasks (passive viewing and n-back working memory task)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method behavioral data from working memory tasks in comparison of groups and pre post fMRI measurements (before and after the training) as well as transfering effects (assessed by SASS: Soziale Aktivität Selbstbeurteilungs-Skala and SWLS: Satisfaction with Life Scale).<br>Separate comparisons of neural activation during processing of speech, gesture and speech-related gestures during the passive viewing and working memory task.
