• Patients with a smartphone with internet access and able to use it
• Patients who underwent a primary bariatric surgery within the last two weeks
• Age = 18 years
• Written informed consent
• Patients with language barrier or impaired mental state
• Expected lack of compliance
• Serious early complications (grade III and IV according to the Clavien-Dindo classification) up to the first follow-up appointment
• Redo surgeries
• Not possible to attend the in-person visit at the end of the trial (one year after surgery)
