1. Patients meeting the ICD 10 clinical criteria for schizophrenia with an illness duration of at least 1 year.
2. Patients currently stabilized on same antipsychotics for a period of at least 4 weeks but have significant negative symptoms as assesed on PANSS negative symptom score being greater than equals to 15.
3. Patients or primary caregiver with capacity and willingness to give informed consent.
1. Presence of co morbid Axis I disorders (using MINI) including substance abuse or dependence (other than caffeine or nicotine).
2. Any history of seizure except those therapeutically induced by ECT.
3. History of treatment with rTMS therapy.
4. Patients receiving or received any surgical procedures on brain.
5. Patients with implanted device or metal in the brain or head or cardiac pacemaker.
6. Facial tattoos with metallic or magnetic sensitive ink.
7. Known or suspected pregnancy
8. History suggestive of increased intracranial pressure; Space occupying brain lesion; History of cerebrovascular accident; Transient ischemic attack within two years; Dementia; Parkinson disease; Huntington chorea; or Multiple sclerosis as assessed clinically.
