Inclusion Criteria
- elective CABG and aortic valve patients in cardiac surgery,
- previous use of betablocker therapy
Exclusion Criteria
- previous atrial fibrillation or flutter,
- thyroid disease,
- uncontrolled heart failure,
- II or III degree atrioventricular block
