Inclusion Criteria
  • elective CABG and aortic valve patients in cardiac surgery,
  • previous use of betablocker therapy
Exclusion Criteria
  • previous atrial fibrillation or flutter,
  • thyroid disease,
  • uncontrolled heart failure,
  • II or III degree atrioventricular block
