- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary objective is the satisfaction of the participants. Participants' satisfaction with continuing education is measured by using the affective-behavioral-cognitive-satisfaction questionnaire (ABC-Sat, Meng et al., 2018). The ABC-Sat is handed out to the participants at the end of the training. Satisfaction with training is measured in the ABC-Sat with 11 items, each evaluated on a five-level scale. The 11 items are divided into three subscales, each of which measures one of the three dimensions of satisfaction (affective, behavioral, cognitive). The results range from zero (absolute dissatisfaction) to 44 points (highest satisfaction). The scales fulfil the conditions of a Likert scale and the sum value can be treated as quasi-metric (Völkl & Korb, 2018).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The secondary objective is to change the participants' knowledge from before to after the training. The knowledge is assessed by means of a questionnaire developed specifically for the particular question. The questionnaire comprises nine questions on post-traumatic stress disorder and flight and migration (contents of the training). The questionnaire is designed as a multiple-choice test, each question has four answer options, the number of correct and incorrect answers is equal. A point is given for each correct answer and a point is subtracted for each incorrect answer. The ratio of correct to incorrect answers and the way points are awarded are ways of controlling the proportion of guessed answers (Reischmann, 2003; Uemminghaus, 2009). The aim is to ensure that a positive difference from pre- to post-measurement does not result exclusively from a better rate of hits in guessing. Pre- and post-measurement take place directly before and directly after the training.
