•Patient who give written informed consent
•Patients aged 18 to 60 years.
•Patients scheduled for elective infraumbilical surgery.
•Patients with ASA (American society of anesthesiologists) grade I & II
•Patients with normal haemoglobin values
•Patients refusing to participate in the study.
•Patients having ongoing acute infections.
•Patients with electrolyte abnormalities.
•Patients with hepatic and renal dysfunction.
•Patients with chronic alcohol abuse.
•Patients with history of endocrine disease inclusive of diabetes mellitis
•Morbid obesity, chronic use of steroids or immunosuppressant or recent chemotherapy.
