1. ASA I - III patients
2. Age 18 -80 years
3. Major surgery
4. Patients of either sex
Exclusion Criteria
1. patients who are not willing to participate in the study
2. ambulatory surgeries
3. patients with altered mental status
4. pregnant patients
5. paediatric patients
