Antibacterial agent used primarily as a tuberculostatic. It remains the treatment of choice for tuberculosis.
- Indication
Isoniazid is used for the treatment of all forms of tuberculosis in which organisms are susceptible. It is also used in combination with rifampin and pyrazinamide.
