post operative analgesia is important for early postoperative recovery. In this study, I am comparing two different routes of administration of fentayl. ie, transdermal and epidural routes, in patients undergoing major infra umbilical abdominal surgeries.

入选标准

  • Age between 18-60 years
  • Body mass index
  • Laparotomy with below umbilicus incision.

排除标准

  • Known allergy to the study drug
  • Contraindication to neuraxial blockade
  • Patients with cognitive impairment
  • Uncontrolled cardiovascular / hepatic / renal disease or impaired pulmonary function.
  • Patients having intolerance to opioid
  • Pregnant and breastfeeding females.

To compare the post-operative pain scores in patients receiving transdermal and epidural fentanyl

时间窗: 24 hours postoperatively

次要结局

  • To compare the adverse events in patients receiving transdermal and epidural fentanyl(24 hours postoperatively)
