- •Female patients, aged 20–65 years and American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II, undergoing thyroidectomy

- •1. history of motion sickness or PONV
- •2. diabetes mellitus or gastrointestinal disease
- •3. those who were smoker or menstruating,
- •4. taken antiemetics or steroids within 72 h prior to surgery
