- •Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 3 (estimated GFR 30 - 60 ml/min/1.73m2)
- •Patients with evidence of Echo Left Ventricular Hypertrophy
- •Are the trial subjects under 18? no
- •Number of subjects for this age range:
- •F.1.2 Adults (18-64 years) yes
- •F.1.2.1 Number of subjects for this age range
- •F.1.3 Elderly (>=65 years) yes
- •F.1.3.1 Number of subjects for this age range
排除标准
- •Known cardiac failure
- •Patients with gout
- •Patients with severe hepatic failure
- •Patients already on Allopurinol
- •Usual contraindications to MRI including metal implants in the body and claustrophobia
- •Current immunosuppressive therapy (eg Azathioprine, Ciclosporin, Cyclophosphamide), warfarin, Chlorpropamide, Theophylline and 6 mercaptopurine
- •Malignancy or other life threatening disease
- •Pregnancy or lactating women
- •Patients who unable to give informed consent (eg learning disabilities)
