入选标准

  • Patients who performed a unilateral shoulder surgery under general anesthesia with interscalene brachial plexus block
  • -ASA physical status I,II,III
  • -Age>18years, adult

排除标准

  • -ASA IV or V patients
  • -Age<18years or pediatric patients
  • - pregnancy
  • - patients who have coagulopathy
  • - unstable coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrythmia, cardiomyopathy
  • - patients who known cerebrovascular disease
  • - generalized infection, interscalene brachial plexus block site infection
  • - chronic pain disorder
  • - severe pulmonary disease
  • - known neurologic deficits, neuropathy affecting the brachial plexus
  • - Allergy to clinical trial drug
  • - past medical history of psychiatric disease

The optimal dose of dexmedetomidine for reduce the postoperative catheter related bladder discomfort in post-anesthesia care unitCatheter-related bladder discomfort (CRBD) is defined as an urgent urination or a burning sensation in the suprapubic area. A study showed that 55% of the patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) experienced moderate or severe CRBD symptoms. CRBD leads to restlessness and agitation and it also enhances the risk of falling out of bed.Moreover, it may increase the workload of nursing staff in the PACU.
