Inclusion criteria for group 1
1.Patients aged 18-40 years of age
2.Patients with no relevant medical history or absence of any systemic conditions
3.Non-smokers
4.OHI index of 0 and Russel’s Periodontal index (not >0.9)
Inclusion criteria for group II,III,IV
1.Patients with mandibular molars diagnosed with symptomatic reversible pulpitis, symptomatic irreversible pulpitis and pulpal necrosis respectively diagnosed according to AAE guidelines 2013
2.Patients with no relevant medical history or absence of any systemic conditions
1.Use of opioid analgesics or antibiotics 48 hours prior to specimen collection
2.Narcotic drug use - Habit of smoking or tobacco chewing
3.Having conditions that effects saliva flow such as xerostomia, radiotherapy, etc.
4.Having a systemic disease
5.Being pregnant or breastfeeding

6.Having an infectious disease known to be transmitted by saliva.
7.having Russel’s Periodontal index >0.9
8.Inability to understand the content of the informed consent form
