1. Diagnosis of COPD
2. Age 40 years or older
3. Smoking history more than 10 pack-years
1. History of COPD exacerbation in the past 3 months
2. Other chronic respiratory diseases such as interstitial pulmonary fibrosis or bronchiectasis
3. Inability to perform spirometry
4. Inability to perform stool examination and complete blood count
5. Inability to walk
6. Diagnosis of asthma-COPD overlap
7. Undergoing tracheostomy tube
8. Use of mechanical ventilation
9. Treatment with systemic corticosteroid in the past 6 weeks.
