Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Receiving mechanical ventilation for at least 24 hours
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Neuromuscular disorders/spinal cord injury above lumbar region
- •2\. Upper airway obstruction/ tracheostomy/ anatomical obstruction of lower airways
- •3\. Diaphragmatic hernia or palsy
- •4\. Congenital cyanotic heart disease
- •5\. Chronically ventilated patients ( \>3 weeks)
- •6\. Primary pulmonary hypertension
- •7\. Significantly decreased lung capacity
