Patients aged 18-80 years who present Hyperglycaemia (glycemia> 140mg / dl) during hospital stay with or without diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus, that are in general floor or emergency and that require a correction dose.
- Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus type I
- Body mass index greater than 32.
- Patients admitted to the ICU or who are expected to enter the ICU.
- Meet Ketoacidotic or Hyperosmolar state criteria
- Patients who have formulated glucocorticoids on the day of correction
- Renal impairment (creatinine> 3 mg / dL or GFR <30 ml / min / 1.73 m)
- Pregnant women
- Patients with mental disabilities who are unable to sign informed consent
