- •Age \= 18 years, written informed consent, sufficient knowledge of German, elective cardiac surgery with heart\-lung machine
Exclusion Criteria
- •Employees of the investigators or of the institution who are involved in the conduct of this or other clinical trials, participants who are unable to provide informed consent due to language, psychological or somatic reasons, participants with pre\-existing, already diagnosed polyneuropathy, HbA1c\> 8\.5%
