Inclusion Criteria

Full term neonates with tracheoesophagial fistula undergoing surgical repair for fistula

Exclusion Criteria

1. Preterm baby <37 weeks of gestational age with any other known congenital anomalies.

2. Already intubated neonate on ventilatory support.

Primary Outcome Measures

Extubation timeTimepoint: Extubation time is measured as the time taken from the end of skin suture to the tracheal tube removal.
Secondary Outcome Measures

Pain scores and recorded as per NIPS scale.Timepoint: Pain score is recorded at the 5th minute and later every 15 minutes for the first 1 hour, every 30 minutes for the next 2 hours and then hourly till total of 6 hours after extubation.
