Individuals who at least 18, show increased social anxiety or insecurity in social interactions, and have a very good command of the German language are eligible to participate in the study.
Participation is not possible for persons who are currently suffering from a mental illness (other than social phobia), who are suicidal or who are currently undergoing psychotherapeutic treatment. Further exclusion criteria are prior knowledge of Cognitive Bias Modification, insufficient knowledge of the German language, and insufficient social anxiety.

Name Time Method Interpretation bias: pre and post intervention scores in the (1) Ambiguous Scenarios Task (AST-R, ratings of positive and negative interpretations) and the (2) SST (proportion of negative sentences). <br><br>Social Anxiety: pre and post intervention scores on the Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS).
