1)Patient 18 - 65 years of age of either gender.
2)Patient of generalized epilepsy on stable antiepileptic drugs (monotherapy or combination) for at least 3 months.
3)Patients receiving antiepileptic monotherapy or combination (commercial preparations of same brand).
4)Patient willing to provide written informed consent.
1)Patients with psychogenic/ non epileptic seizures (NES)
2)Patient having history of any focal pathology/ lesions of brain
3)Patient with co-existing Type 2 Diabetes mellitus
4)Patient with dyslipidaemia who are already on lipid lowering agents.
5)Patient on medication that are known to interfere with body weight status, such as antidepressants, corticosteroids and anti-thyroid drugs.
6)Pregnant patients of epilepsy.
7)Patients with history of alcohol/ substance abuse
8)Patient having any personality or psychiatric disorders.
