¦ Patients scheduled for thyroidectomy due to differentiated thyroid cancer female, aged 40-60 years
premenopausal women, 40-47 years
postmenopausal women, = 60years, not taking hormone replacement
Metastatic thyroid cancer
Patient with history of alcohol or drug abuse
Patient taking on drug or dietary supplement which component is unknown
Patient who has plan for reducing food intake, increasing exercise or taking medication for weight loss
Body mass index (BMI) = 27 kg/m2
Disease which affect weight and metabolic rate such as diabetes, osteoporosis, cushing syndrome and early menopause
Liver disease (AST, ALT > 2.5-fold the upper normal)
History of renal failure or serum creatitnine > 2.0
History of acute myocardiac infarction, heart failure, cerebral infarction, cerabral hemorrhage, unstabl angina within 6 months
Underlying disease of malignancy, tuberculosis, asthma, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, psychosis, bipolar disease, schizophrenia, fatty liver, drug induced, alcoholic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, chronic renal failure, dialysis patients
