Inclusion Criteria

Spine instrumentation for trauma and /or any pathology below fifth thoracic vertebra in prone position under GA.

ASA I to III physiological status.

Exclusion Criteria

Patient refusal.

Obesity( BMI >30).

known case of respiratory disease including bronchial asthma,COPD,TB,pneumonia.

Inability to keep arterial oxygen saturation above 94% without supplemental oxygen.

Paitent with blunt trauma chest and severe brain injury.

Patient with prior endotracheal and/or chest drain tube.
