Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • adult patients, 18\-60 years of age with supratentorial acute ischemic infarct planned for decompressive craniectomy will be enrolled in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • hemorrhagic infarct or infratentorial infarct or recurrent infarct will be excluded
  • ASA physical status IV \& V patients will be excluded
