Patient undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia and endotracheal intubation
Patientââ?¬•s refusal
Patient with known allergy to dexmedetomidine and esmolol
Surgery lasting for more than two hour
Patient with h/o hypertension, ischaemic heart disease, aortic stenosis, left ventricular failure, atrio-ventricular conduction block sinus bradycardia, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Severe hepatic and renal disease
Patient receiving antihypertensives, MAO inhibitors
Pregnant and lactating woman
Cases encountered with difficult intubation
Anticipated difficult airway
Novel corona virus positive
