1)Patients scheduled for elective surgeries under general anaesthesia with endotracheal intubation lasting <60 minutes in duration in SMVMCH from November 2019 to March 2021.
2)Patients of ASA physical status 1 & 2
3)Patients of either sex
4)Age >18 or <60 years.
5)Patients with Modified Mallampatti scoring of I, II, or III.
1)BMI <18.5 or >35
2)Upper respiratory infections
3)Patients with Cardiac, Renal, Hepatic disorders
4)Limited mouth opening (mouth opening < 2 finger breadths)
5)Pregnant / Lactating women
6)Patient refusal

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To measure the first-time insertion success rate and the number of attempts required for successful placement between the Baska mask and LMA Supreme mask.Timepoint: The outcome will be assessed at the start of the surgery while inserting the supraglottic airway device.It cannot be assessed after surgery.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The secondary outcome is to measure the effective device insertion time, leak pressure, ease of insertion of gastric tube and complications.Timepoint: The secondary outcome is measured after successful insertion of the supraglottic airway device and before the start of surgery, and again assessed upto 24 hours after surgery for post operative complications.
