Inclusion Criteria

Group 1 (n = 15): volunteers with grade II obesity (body mass index (BMI) between 35 and 39.9 kg / m²) associated with comorbidities or degree III obesity (BMI ? 40 kg / m²) with or without Comorbid conditions, referred to bariatric gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-Y gastric bypass gastroplasty).
Group 2 (n = 15): eutrophic volunteers, BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 kg / m².

Exclusion Criteria

Muscle skeletal deformities or dysfunctions that interfere with balance; Neurological dysfunctions; Vestibular problems; Problems with uncorrectable vision with glasses or contact lenses; Use of orthoses for ambulation; Participate in a physical activity program in the last 6 months; Pregnancy; Cognitive problems.

The objective of this proposal is to analyze if there is improvement of the postural balance, mobility and body perception of obese patients after weight loss consequent to bariatric surgery. The outcomes for comparison are differences in postural balance, mobility, and body perception before and after surgery.
