Inclusion Criteria
Coma or UWS (Unresponsive Wakefulness Syndrome)
No general anaesthesia within = 24 hours, no sedative medication within = 24 hours
Exclusion Criteria
Pre-existing impairment of consciousness
Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE)
Status epilepticus
Withdrawal of life support/palliative care
Administration of neuromuscular relaxants
Administration of psychoactive medication
