Inclusion Criteria

- the American Society Anesthesiologists physical status Iâ€III
- aged between 18-65 year-old
- underwent elective surgeries under general anesthesia
- having an IV catheter no. 20 at a hand dorsum
- weight more than 50 kg

Exclusion Criteria

- had difficulty in communicating
- were allergic to ondansetron or propofol or lidocaine
- were allergic to egg or soybean
- were using Apomorphine, Dronedarone, Monoamine oxidase inhibitor and serotonergic drugs
- Arrhythmia: Prolong QT, second and third degree AV block
- Chronic pain
- Thrombophlebitis or peripheral neuropathy
- Pregnancy or during lactation
- rapid sequence intubation
