1. Patients who will be diagnosed to be moderate to severe asthma according to Global Initiative for Asthma
2. Age 18-65 years
3. Non regular exercise (less than 3 times/week and less than 30 min/day)
4. Patients will require to receive stable dose of asthma medications throughout
the study.
1. Other respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic respiratory failure, and respiratory infections.
2. Asthma exacerbation within 1 month
3. Congestive heart failure, chest pain from myocardial ischemia
4. Condition with musculoskeletal disorders affecting the movement of the
shoulder or knee, or ankle joints.
5. Presence of orthopedic or neuromuscular conditions interfering with the
ability to perform step aerobic exercise such as herniated disc, lumbar stenosis, and muscle weakness
6. Pregnancy
