1. Patients belongs to 18 to 60 years of age
2. ASA I, ASA II (American Society of Anesthesiologist classification)
3. Patients undergoing endotracheal intubation in elective surgery under General
anesthesia
4. Duration of surgery lasting less than 3 hours
1. Patients undergoing Emergency surgeries
2. Anticipated difficult airway
3. Reduced cardiopulmonary reserve
4. Patient on beta blockers
5. Previous nasal surgery
6. Laparoscopic surgery
7. Laryngoscopic time exceeding 45 seconds
8. Laryngoscopy attempts more than 2 times

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Heart rate, Blood Pressure & Oxygen saturation <br/ ><br>Timepoint: A baseline heart rate, blood pressure & oxygen saturation will be measured before <br/ ><br>administration of the study drug, then at the time of administration and 10 mins once until the time <br/ ><br>of scheduled intubation. <br/ ><br>â?ª Post intubation vitals are measured at 1,2,3,4,5 & every 10 minutes until end of surgery.
